Infrared remote control
Hi. I would like to get wireless remote control for my Canon 550D, but I need to control video recording (START/STOP function). Is there some solution for infrared remote control? Thanx

May be, but is it capable to start/stop movie recording? I think, this remote control can take a photo only?!

From the Canon website: "The new RC-6 remote controller can be used to record movies as well as shoot still images."
Also confirmed by a search of reviews, dpreview, etc, this will work for video. |

You're welcome! Now you've got me thinking about getting one of these, too...

I built an RC-5, which is the older one I guess, into my rig handle: Remote HDSLR video trigger built into handle - Arrow Ten Media
Works great!
