Count me in too please Dan. I am very interested in your experiences as you are using Canon DSLRs as true hybrid cameras both for great stills & great video & not just concentrating on one or the other aspect.

Not sure If I'm allowed to post this (apologies to mods if im not) but I got this in my 'Shooting People' email today:
Saturday 17th July, 10:00 - 17:00 UCL, Euston, London 125ukp (112.50ukp for Shooting People members - quote SPinsight, 100ukp other concs.) This Saturday workshop will cover how to use the new range of Canon DSLRs that can record 1080p HD video to a high standard for such a low price point. The Canon 7D will be used for demonstration purposes and differences with the other cameras will be covered. The workshop will cover the benefits, such as image quality, small form factor, what high quality good value lenses are available and which ones to choose based on what you shoot, low light shooting and tapeless recording. We will also look at some of the issues experienced with this camera and how to deal with them, such as sound, handheld, focussing, file size limits and which accessories are available to make the most of these cameras. Included in the workshop will be how best to set up the camera, post production workflow, and alternative techniques. About the Tutor: Andrew Martin is an experienced DOP and camera operator who has worked on numerous films and promos using a range of cameras including Canon DSLRs. To apply, please go to InSight Education Course - HD Video with DSLR Workshop or email info*at*insighteducation.org.uk |
