EOS 7D vs pro camcorders
Is this camera better than the prosumer or professional camcorders, like the panasonic HMC 40 or 150, or like the Canon XH-A1?
I've seen its quality and it's great, but i just want to read some reviews, what can you guys tell me, do you recommend this camera for making shortfilms and things like that, or should i go for a camcorder?... |

Hi Ruben, it's a bit of a strain to respond to your question just because it's already been asked here many times before. And you haven't qualified what you mean by "better than." They're better in some ways and worse in others. For example, you could say the pro camcorders are better because they have long zoom ratios, can change focal length smoothly during a shot, and can record much longer than 12 minutes at a time. The EOS 7D can't do those things.
Anyway, this definitely counts as a Frequently Asked Question. Instead of starting yet another one of these, I'm going to refer you to another discussion already in progress which covers your question in detail: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-eo...nal-video.html Hope this helps, |
