Setting shutter/apeture for video?
I feel like I'm missing something obvious here.
How do you set the shutter speed (or apeture for that matter) during video mode on the T2i? I read the video section on the manual and didn't seem to find an answer -- it seems to suggest that apeture and shutter are set automatically. Are you all just using the AE lock to lock in the settings you want? |

the dial on the top controls shutter, and the dial + the AV button changes aperture
Make sure you have "Movie Exposure" set to manual. Its under the second drop down on the menu. |

Hi Michael. First, you have to set the exposure to Manual in the video menus.
Then you can change the shutter speed by turning the front dial. Aperture is adjusted with the same front dial, but you have to push a button at the back of the camera at the same time (It is also the exposure compensation button). Richard |

Thank you both. That worked. I didn't have Movie Exposure set to manual.
