Photo view on camera LCD

I find a problem that part of the area of each photo is flashing (black and normal) when I view the photos on the camera LCD together with the histogram.

Does my camera have somethings wrong or is it what we called 'highlight alert'? Please assist.

The flashing areas are overexposed. You need to reduce the exposure (probably using ND filters) to avoid clipping the highlights.
