Recommendatiosn for mics
Want a mic that can be used for interviews but will also (ideally) give me good sound in very loud locations (i.e. clubs and concert venues). Any help gratefully received!
Many thanks Tim |

The classic reporters microphone is the AT804. If you prefer a condenser mic I like the ATM33a. Neither is new but you can still find them on auction sites and there are probably updated versions also.

Tim, I just noticed the group you're in - I picked up the thread from a summary - you might also be interested in the recommendation I got from AT at Broadcast recently for a mic suitable for DSLR - they recommended their PRO24-CM. It's a X-Y stereo and has a mini jack specifically for the task. Costs about £100 though whereas I have the other two on sale elsewhere (I think the rules prevent me from saying more) for about half that but you'd need to change the termination as well.
