Thanks for you replies. Another question, does the 7D output HDMI at full 1080 resolution?
I would like use it as a B-camera with the EX-1, and the HD switcher for live events...Because I already have and HDMI to SDI converter.

Honestly I got nothing but soft grainy images with the letus extreme + the EX1. It was acceptable back then but I was never 100% happy and I tried pretty much all the adapters out there. Since I have my 7D I sold the letus and never looked back. I think I will never use a 35mm adapter again. Light loss, GG grain, batteries, turn it on, size and weight, image quality, the list goes on and on. If I need shallow dof I shoot 7D, otherwise I shoot EX1. Just my opinion.

Does it output full 1080 also while recording? Is it possible to remove the red dot with magic lantern?

Having had a Letus and then purchasing a 7D, it was very simple for me to stop using the Letus. I agree with all the reasons mentioned previously. The only disadvantage is the dog and pony show that a Letus gives to an A1.

I love my letus elite/ex1, when filming at work, I use it for all my interviews and I use my 7d for catching gv's etc.
Something nice to be said about footage from adapters.
This makes a nice combo.....and sharp too.
