The 7D would still fly off the shelves w/o video, as would the 5Dm2, 1Dm4 etc. Most of users at this level will not be buying it for video. The still photography market here is probably 100x larger.

The one upside the 7D has is the better build and weatherproofing on a whole... Some would still buy it rightly so in my opinion for the feel and quality aspects. The price isn't really all that bad its just that now you get the same image quality for a lot less...
There will still be a video market for the 7D.

The body only, yes. The one with the 18-55 lens is available (that's what I just ordered).

Sorry, I meant that comment in terms of market share of pro video and not stills (although I'm quite aware that it's a stills camera first and video camera second).

Already selling here in UK; although the build quality and 'feel' are a bit cheap and plasticky in my opinion, plus fps and seals etc doesn't of course match the more expensive 7D.

The 7D is still a far better buy if it's going to be your main camera, or you intend to use it for a lot of outdoor work.

Well couldn't resist, bought the kit last night with the 18-55mm kit lens, a few Delkin (class 6) SD cards and a 50mm 1.8 prime.

More lenses to come (Tamron 17-50, Sigma 30mm 1.4), but looking forward to getting it by this Friday.
