Photogs moving the video on the 7D
I made the move from still photography to video over 10 years ago. I knew how to compose shots and expose images properly, but there were still several things that I had to learn about shooting video.
I think that there are a lot of still photographers who are making the move to video now that the 7D and 5D are out and produce very nice video images. I would really suggest that anyone making this move, that they should pick up Philip Bloom's very good videos on the 5D and 7D. I know that people complain that they are expensive, and they are, but they can give the viewer some very good information on how to properly shoot video with these new breed of cameras. I don't work for Philip and I don't receive any compensation from him. I did purchase the 7D video just to speed up my process of learning the camera. When I see posts from people wanting to know why they need to use ND filters when shooting, I see the need for proper education on how to shoot video with these cameras. Philip's videos are a good start to this education. Just a thought from someone who made the move a while ago when the tools were not even close to being as good as they are now. Daniel Weber |

Great advice. Thanks.
I am one of these after 20 years as a portrait studio owner - mostly high end seniors. I am looking hard at PBs videos. |
