IS lense useless?
I heard IS is useless in video, and then someone said it was everything. Can someone give me a clear answer. Im trying to decide between the two lenses and the IS is obviously more but if i dont have to spend the extra money im not going to

Not sure what the answer was that you found, but I have the 17-55 IS and when handholding at the telephoto end if I don't use stabilization my shots are too shaky. I really like IS -- makes a big difference for me. If you don't handhold, and use tripod mostly, then IS might not matter too much.
