I'm worried about my 7D's LCD surface...
It's big and shiny and I'm worried it's going to get scuffed. Is it plastic or glass? Does anybody recommend anything to protect it? A film?

I use these...
HSK-3.0-Hoodman Corporation There's also a glass overlay, Giottos SP 8300, about $30. |

buy some film from the Invisible Shield company. You'd need a drill to scratch it then. I use it on my phone and demo it by slashing my keys on the screen... doesn't even leave a mark.

The 7d LCD screen is made of glass not plastic. I hate it when my screens get scratched, that invisible shield looks like a good product.

Thanks everybody. I remember had a few brand-new leftover film shields from iPhone/iPod cases I'd purchased in the past (and never used them). A little trimming, peeling, careful placement and 'viola!' Peace of mind.
I think I might want to put something over the top LCD panel too. Is it plastic? Probably more prone to scratches than the back glass LCD. |
