My monitor and the 7D
I have this monitor
Samsung Syncmaster 245B Plus I use with my PC. My room/living room/studio/entrance to small balcony is where it's in (Living in Japan means compact). I have a yoga instructor coming in for some photos to be taken for her website and other advertisements. She's asked me to put together something small, 30 seconds or so, of her talking about her yoga studio. I'd like to use the 7D. So far I've been 50/50 with the shallow DOF. I've been on the money or slightly back or forward. Hard to tell sometimes. I figured if I could rig it so that I had my monitor right there on my desk hooked up to the 7D, it would make it a whole lot easier to see if I'm on the mark. It would also look more professional. So, is this possible? |

look like that monitor only have dvi? if so you might need hdmi to dvi adapter, but if it is just an talking head shot, I don't see why you can't nail focus using the 5x or 10x magnify to focus before you hit the record button.
