I've been wondering the same thing. I'm still on a list I preordered back on September 1st. Just saw today on Best Buy's site that they now have 7D camera kit with lens. It looks to be sold out at most stores, but some still have some. It doesn't matter much to me, because I'm still holding out for my pre-order. Hope this helps.

FYI - For those that want to explore the Best Buy option, if you have a Best Buy rewards card (which is free) you can use this following coupon to take 10% off (which in CA was more than the tax, bringing down the kit to $1850 and change out the door). It's ONLY USABLE UNTIL THE END OF DAY TODAY. Coupon worked for me today.

I found 1 Best Buy in Houston near me and had them hold it. I wanted the body only, but with today's 10% off, the body+lens was only $1850 with tax.

I am officially in the Video DSLR club... now to open my box.

I was driving by Frye's Electronics this morning and decided to duck in just in case. I was able to pick up a body and the sales guy said that they still had quite a few left. Apparently most of the Frye's (Northern California) got a shipment yesterday.

I ordered mine Oct. 7, but they were on holiday then, so the order wouldn't have been processed until Monday of this week at the earliest. That's pretty good. They must have received a big batch the second time around. A friend who ordered Monday also got his shipping notification right after I did. Should be here Monday, I think, or more likely Tuesday. I got the package deal with the lens, not just the body but I think they have both. B&H seems to be taking orders for the body but not the kit.
