Someone with 7D please test this workflow:
In my mind this works but maybe it won't make a difference.
Code:
Jello test (rolling shutter pan) at 720 60p. Convert clip to 720 24p (cinema tools). Speed clip up 2x to real-time (FCP speed effect w/o frame-blending). Thanks. -C |

If you speed it up 200% you will still be seeing slow motion. You have to speed it up to 250% to see it in real time. And no, it won't make a difference. It will look exactly the same.

just tried it... no dice, it pretty much looks the same to me.
Honestly, the rolling shutter doesn't bother me to much because it's only REALLY noticeable when you whip pan BACK AND FORTH, but if you pan quickly in just ONE direction it's not nearly as noticeable... and when it is it's when you have high contrast verticals.... not a problem for me and the 1700 bucks I spent on the camera. |
