Check B&H daily...
Check B&H on a daily basis, when the 7D listing says "accepting orders" place yours. I did this and on Sept 27th I noticed "on backorder" had changed to "accepting orders" so I placed mine. On the 29th status on my order said "ready to ship" and on Sept 30th my credit card was charged and I recieved mine this Monday Oct 5th.

I bought one today from norman camera in Minnesota. They only sell the kit with the 18-135, and they charge about $150 over Bh. I bought it anyways and will have my hands on it tomorrow. I went with the lens kit because my dslr's are Nikon and all my lenses are nikon. I'll be getting a lens adapter, but at least I have something to start with and can also shoot some pictures with the 18-135.

I was notified by BHphoto yesterday that they are shipping my order. Furthermore, as I type this they are in stock on Bhphoto.

Pulled the Trigger
I blame the following people for my impulsive purchase this evening:
DVinfo.net Steev Dinkins Philip Bloom Roberto Lanczos eBay Nevertheless, thanks I guess :) Went for the 7D w/ 28-135mm Kit, then got a 24-105mm F4 USM IS L lens off ebay 'cuz B&H has been out of stock for a while now. Trying out a Fader ND, got an extra battery and 16GB Sandisk Extreme III with free USB reader, and a Nikkor to EOS adapter for my older lenses. Can't afford a Z Finder just yet, or a Beachtek audio controller, but I'd like to see what my use brings for the new cam, and what, if anything, it might further require. I have a feeling my XH and SGblade are going to be in the case for a while. Last edited by Nate Haustein; October 20th, 2009 at 10:47 PM. |

B&H is shipping my 7D as we speak! I've also got full wife approval!
Now if someone could just help me configure a Redrock shoulder/tripod/matt box set up for this thing.... I would also like to apologize in advance for all my soon-to-be stupid questions :) I'm coming from a "video camera" background and this is a bit of a new world. |

If you want to know who has the 7D in stock go to this website. It is constantly updated, so check it very regularly as the 7D goes in and out of stock very quickly:

B&H has the 7D in stock on and off and in short durations. I placed my order about 20 minutes after it went "in stock" on Sunday and it shipped yesterday. Like Jim said, just keep checking nowinstock.net. Unfortunately, they limit it to only 1 per customer.
