Looks like you can trigger video on 7D from iphone with WFT pack

So it looks like you can trigger video start and stop from an Iphone or other browser equipped device connected to the Canon WFT-E5, waiting for confirmation. This will be a real boon for Steadicam and polecam users. You should also be able to control all other camera functions too.

Don't we have the same ability with the 5D already-- problem being this all has to flow through a laptop, too. ????

That is my understanding of the WFT-E4. There is a full TCP/IP stack and httpd in it; I would love to get one to see about writing cgi-bin scripts.

Has anyone purchased and tested this? (I ask because I can't find any information about it that specifically states you can start/stop video).
