Lenses?
I think the 7D will be my next purchase. Now on to lenses. I easily created a wishlist in B+H that quadrupled the price of the body, but I think it's excessive. I have 4 Nikons for my Letus, but I want this camera for photography too, and want AF lenses.
I rarely go past my 85mm on my Letus to the 105 I have, but on the other hand I often shoot at the end of the zoom range on my EX-1 when it is without an adapter, but I am typically doing different things. I am thinking the 17-55 2.8 Canon is a must. And even though I go longer than 85 with my Letus I probably want the 70-200 2.8. Could I get away with 1 more fast prime? The 50 1.4 would make sense (and is pretty cheap), but it's not really a 50....it's an 80mm. What are others thinking of starting with, or what is essential? |

The 17-55/2.8 and 70-200/2.8 are both excellent building blocks for your kit. I would also look into the 10-22 and maybe a fast prime such as the Canon or Sigma 30/1.4.
