AF focus area box not appearing - C-100 Mk I

I have an AF Canon lens on the camera and autofocus is working fine. But the little "box" in the viewfinder that shows where the camera is focusing doesn't appear. I can't remember if there's a setting for this that I've messed up or not.

And I've checked to see if the lens is in AF mode - it is and he camera is focusing just on. Right now I have a Canon 70-200 II mounted and mode switches are set correctly

Thanks

OK - figured it out - I had forgotten that when you display the waveform monitor it doesn't display the central focusing area. Old guy brain fart I guess.
