Re: Final Cut Pro now ready for C300 mkII
This is great news. Have been back heavily in Premiere at the moment because I didn't want to get stuck using FCPX for a project and discover it didn't like the C300 footage. Glad that's been..

Re: Final Cut Pro now ready for C300 mkII
yeah - really timely update and great news.
You need to install the Canon XF Utility 2.1 for XF-AVC available at Canon’s website in the Driver & Downloads > Software section. This might just be the final feather to tip the balance in my quite painful decision making process between the C300 MK2 and Sony FS7 although having used the C300 since it was launched I should really just go ahead and buy the new camera. |

Yes apparently you do - I upgraded my XF Utility for FCPX to version 2.1.
The other side of the equation is within todays minor FCPX upgrade. E Either way it all works now. I tested some 4K files I shot with the Canon XC10 and it was a seamless experience. |

Re: Final Cut Pro now ready for C300 mkII
I am a bit confused. I used to edit the C300 Mark II files in the prior version as well. And am yet to upgrade to the new version. I am now currently editing a doc so not upgrading to the latest. Will wait to hear if this upgrade is stable or not

Sabyasachi, the FCPX 10.2.3 update is a very minor one and I have had no issues with it at all.
I couldn't import XF-AVC files before this although I had heard that the last update enable import of the XC10 files which are 422 8bit I think. |

Re: Final Cut Pro now ready for C300 mkII
I looked into this because I was confused as I had well already installed XF Utility 2.1 from back in September and I didn't see why that would suddenly change anything with a new FCPX update.
There is a new version of XF Utility, version 3.1 is the one you want. |
