c100 mark2 footage please?
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone who has a Canon C100 mark 2 would be willing to shoot some test footage at different fps so I could test them with my editor. I am looking to buy one but would like to test the footage out. You could send it via google drive. Please let me know. Thanks in advance. I am interested in both mp4 and avchd video. 59.94 both I and P and 29.97 |

Re: c100 mark2 footage please?
AVCHD and MP4 footage are exactly the same visually. MP4 is AC3 audio (compressed to 192kps or something like that) while AVCHD is LPCM uncompressed. AVCHD is in a directory structure while MP4 are self-contained files. MP4 is always split up in 4GB chunks during long recordings, while AVCHD can be connected without any transcoding through various utilities.
There is also no difference between I and P 29.97. MP4 will give you straight up 30P, while AVCHD gives you 60i with 2:2 pulldown. There is literally zero difference except in some NLEs you may need to tell it that it's progressive and not interlaced. |

I believe the 6d records in 4gb chunks but I thought it was a avid codec. Does the 6d record mp4?
