Delivering 30p - via Ninja - C100 at 60i or 30pf?
Still new to this set-up and client wants wants 30p I've heard that the pf setting in 24 is a non-starter. What about the 30pf? Should I have C100 set to 60i and Ninja set to 30p? or C100 at 30pf and Ninja at 30p??
Thanks in advance!

Re: Delivering 30p - via Ninja - C100 at 60i or 30pf?
You need to set the C100 to PF30 and the Ninja to 2:2 Pulldown, 29.97. That will give you ProRes 30P without interlacing.
PF30 is easy to deal with in any NLE. Just set it to progressive. The reason PF24 is a non-starter is because it uses the more difficult 3:2 pulldown cadence which NLEs haven't been programmed to deal with, leaving you with only After Effects and Compressor to deal with it. PF30 is much easier because it evenly cleaves off 60i. I shoot a lot in 30p myself. |
