3rd Party shotgun mic mount?
Does anyone know of a third-party or after-market shotgun mic mount for the Canons? The C100 mount looks an awful lot like the one on my XH-A1. They are too big to hold normal mics. This seems like one of those things they should have fixed a couple generations ago.
I have the rubber ring that was sold by Sony, but there needs to be a better way. |

Re: 3rd Party shotgun mic mount?
I simply put a couple of rubber bands round my Shotgun mic and it wedges in nicely. loose enough to absorb some vibrations, but tight enough to be held firmly.
Like you, not ideal, but it works.

I was thinking more along the lines of a manufactured piece that screwed on where the current mic-mount is. Once I get my 3D printer, I might try to make one. :P
