Hi Terry,
Are you stating that anyone who happened to download the firmware update from Canon's site now needs to send their camera to Canon to remove that firmware? |

Canon service is telling us that you can continue to use your C300 until the new firmware is released.
If you have changed the firmware in the middle of a shoot and need matching footage, you should send your camera in to re-install the older version firmware. |

Re: Canon C300 Firmware Version 1.1.0.1.00 has been discontinued
I like the new WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) Color Profile but the color rendition seems to be really off, worse than Cinema LOG. I was hoping that the WDR profile would yield increased dynamic range with good color rendition not needing grading. Maybe that is related to the firmware upgrade being pulled out.

As quoted from above:
"because it has been determined that discrepancies in color balance can occur with footage captured by the EOS C300 and EOS C300PL running Firmware Version 1.1.0.1.00. " |

Re: Canon C300 Firmware Version 1.1.0.1.00 has been discontinued
I noticed a color shift as soon as I updated the firmware. I contacted Canon Australia and they know nothing about this firmware problem. What do I do? as I need to shoot with my C300.

Re: Canon C300 Firmware Version 1.1.0.1.00 has been discontinued
Hi Simon,
I emailed Canon Australia on Friday night and got a phone call back in 5 minutes. They are certainly aware of the issue. Camera does need to go back to them to roll back the firmware. It takes a few minutes. Am happy to email you details of my contact there. |

Hi Simon, Mate if you can email me the contact that would be fantastic although I hope Canon get their Sh#$ together and sort this out. On another note why haven't they updated the ability for Pal users to shoot 1 frame accumulation for time lapse? I just don't get it... NTSC has this ability
