Re: C100 - about to buy
Marty
A lot of my work is corporate promotional videos, so I have time to setup the tripod, lights and audio so the ninja would be used in those senarios. Like you say the run and gun shoots will be without the ninja. Thanks Drew |

Re: C100 - about to buy
I must say that I'm absolutely in love with the 1080/60P of the FS100. It's video is sublime. I however haven't shot with a C100 yet but hope to soon.

Re: C100 - about to buy
Just received my C100 and Ninja 2 today and haven't really had a chance to shoot much but I can say this, it's the most user friendly camera, the button layout is amazing, the menus relatively simple. I've managed to set it up based on owners reports on forums like this and feel its ready for work next Tuesday.
From a couple of garden comparison shots it blows my trusty 550d out of the water in terms of detail, colour and dynamic range! Drew. |

Re: C100 - about to buy
As Matt said:
"Which brings us to the C100. It doesn't do much, but what it does do, it does VERY well. Superb picture quality with loads of detail, superb audio circuits and mic pre-amps (seriously, you can hear the difference between the C100 and FS100/700 and EX1), 2 slots (dual record or A/B swap - sure feels good to dual record!). Picture profiles? Nah - WDR and C-Log are brilliant. No alchemy, just shoot." Yes indeed. I would love to have the 700 with it's super slo mo, etc. Creative shooters like P. Bloom and others have put it through some fun paces. But for the money, the C100 has put my 5D into B cam and stills only mode. Someone once compared it to a Hasselblad, and having owned one, I would agree, other than the Blad had the ability to do anything, and the lack of slo-mo on the C100 is very disappointing given the price for what is essentially a high end 4:2:0 camera. At least I can add the Ninja to it without too much fuss. |

Adding the Ninja to the C100 get you great results. I highly recommend it.

Re: C100 - about to buy
Thanks for the info Josh. The prices on C100's have been up & down over the past 12 months. I'm planning on grabbing one early next year, so fingers crossed the prices will be cheaper...

Re: C100 - about to buy
It went back down again, to a lower price than before. Literally £300 taken off again since this morning.
Like you Chris Ive got the luxury of no hurry but its amusing watching the ups and downs of it. Ordering other bits while I bide my time, just ordered a ac7 oled so will have a play with that. |

Re: C100 - about to buy
I know the feeling Josh!
Just a quick one while we have owners here, what size Peli case do you find fits the C100 best with 3/4 lenses too? |

Re: C100 - about to buy
If you're real clever, you can fit two C100s, two lenses, 5 batteries and two chargers in a peli 1510. Rods and baseplates might need to be taken off. Just finished a three week trip and it worked perfect.
