C100 LCD screen green tinge?
Hi all,
I've been shooting with my c100 for about 8 weeks now, and while I love it, I just cannot shake the feeling there is a distinct 'greenish' tinge to the LCD screen, whereas the evf (crap as it is) has more of a reddish tinge. Anyone else experience the same? |

It seems more blue to me.

Yep, mine's got a blue hue too - definitely not green!

Another vote for blue - or at least 'cold'.

Yes - appears about 300-400k "cooler" than it really is.

Yes, I've learned the hard way: never try to set the color temperature by eye when using the built-in LCD on the C100. It's a bit of a learning curve after being so used to Canon DSLR's which seem much more WYSIWYG.

Blue? Hmmmmm
Maybe I'm seeing green when it's blue (either I'm a bit color blind, or my c100 is different from everyone else's !) |

Re: C100 LCD screen green tinge?
Interesting to read the comments in this thread and pleased (possibly) that I am not alone with this issue! The LCD on my C100 is also cold. I have noticed it can make the green in a green screen background look unkeyable and shooting in mixed lighting a real challenge! Means that a field monitor is needed if any decisions around colour are to be made on location. The LCD on my Canon 550D gives a more accurate indication and a friend has an XF105 which has an excellent LCD. Don't know if this could be addressed in a future firmware upgrade. Shame there are no adjustments within the camera menu to correct the LCD colour.

Re: C100 LCD screen green tinge?
I would recommend using the waveform and a grey card and centering the reading. I've not seen a green tinge on mine (yet!), but finding the right place where your LCD is close to accurate is really key. I've been using an xf305 and it's also not accurate, but I've found how it's not and worked around it.
