C300 Firmware Update
Have Canon forgotten about its flagship camera? They have announced an update to the C500 yet appear to have allowed the 300 to fall by the wayside. Not very good.

Re: C300 Firmware Update
If it doesn't happen by NAB then it will probably never happen.

Re: C300 Firmware Update
That have been tales of a a firmware update being applied to cameras sent into Canon for maintenance. Whether this will eventually be released to end users or not is anyone's guess.
Apparently, the firmware updates primary purpose seems to be eliminating color fringing. |

Re: C300 Firmware Update
i think the most bonkers thing to everyone is the minimal amount of slow motion in the c300, and the complete lack of it in the c100. IMO the most appreciated firmware upgrade for the c300 would be 1080@60, and 720@120. and then they should be able to give the c100 maybe 1080@48 and 60@720.
i mean really, when a gopro now does more than your high end cinema cameras, it's really rather pitiful. but otherwise i love my c100 |
