c300 issues in CS6
Hey All
So one of my clients edits in premiere CS6 on a mac running mountain lion. they have been having LOTs of issues with the c300 footage. first off, footage works perfectly find in FCP7 and Avid in cs6, clips are not reading correctly and when they do span, there are audio sync issues. our workflow for copying data off the cards is strictly drag-and-drop. can anyone help? |

I have no experience with the C300 but I was under the impression you have to use the "Canon XF Utility" software in order to have the mxf files Canon DLC: Blog Post: Canon XF Utility Software Now Available for Free Download

Re: c300 issues in CS6
Use the XF Utility to properly backup the cards. I have had no problems at all with C300 files in Premiere Pro CS6 which 'knows' about the MXF file structure & imports them correctly.

Can you walk me through the way you import with XF utility? We've tried that and premiere still doesn't recognize the data as XF data.

Re: c300 issues in CS6
Stick the card in the reader use XF Utility to backup the card. Then point Media Browser at the directory you just created. Premiere Pro will detect that it is an XF directory & then you can view the clips rather than the constituent files. You can select view as File Directory but you don't want that you want view as Canon XF.
