Blue Moon, Blue Maine - C300 Short
A bit of personal work shot over the past two weeks on the Maine coast and culminating in the August 31st blue moon.
Canon C300 with a mix of lenses: 24-105, 70-200, 16-35, and 50/1.2. Tripod, monopod, and handheld all used. ISOs 85-20,000. Shot in c-log, edited and graded in FCP X. You can view in 1080p via Vimeo and download from there to get a bit higher quality version (20,000 kbits/sec file.) |

There's some awesome shots in there. I really liked the one on the ferris wheel where the moon was super bright in the background. It's a cool composition with the person in the front of the shot but the focus is really the moon in the back. Nice work.

Re: Blue Moon, Blue Maine - C300 Short
Thanks.
I had enough time to try out a few things but that feeling with the moon and the background of the fair coming into view worked really well. It has more of a sense of space and movement then when the focus was on the foreground. |
