Re: Canon WFT-E6 Wireless File Transmitter in stock!
Does anyone know where I can find info on how to use it with my c300 and iPad? I know little about setting up networks and all that so I need a good instructional on how to set this up.

Guess I'm not as "network clueless" as I thought, got it working. Yes there is lag as expected, but all in all pretty cool and useful little widget.

Re: Canon WFT-E6 Wireless File Transmitter in stock!
Is it possible to disable most camera controls when looking at the web interface? I am seeing use this with producers/pas to take notes and log footage on the fly but don't want them to mess around with camera settings.

No, but there are 3 tabbed pages for the web app, so if you can keep them on the "Metadata Input" page you'll be OK.

Re: Canon WFT-E6 Wireless File Transmitter in stock!
It took three people to get it running. One of the ports came up with the value 80 and we zeroed it out. We ended up setting a password on it. We did not do ad hoc, we used the network in the building. Just give yourself some time and go through all the settings. Sometimes it takes the camera up to 10 seconds to recognize a command from a knob or key on the camera.
This may or may not help. Sorry this post is totally vague. http://learn.usa.canon.com/app/pdfs/...Server_iOS.pdf Last edited by Guest; July 18th, 2012 at 04:43 PM. Reason: more info |

Re: Canon WFT-E6 Wireless File Transmitter in stock!
OK, so I shot some stuff and thought I applied some metadata to the shots but can't find it in FCPX. What am I missing? I looked in the Info tab in FCPX and browsed all the metadata presets, nothing. Also looked at Notes in the column view, nada. It could be that I didn't really apply the metadata, just typed stuff in and expected it to show up attached to the shot, I don't know.
