Starz Home Entertainment = Blu-ray exclusivity
http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/news..._of_Horror/709
http://www.homemediaretailing.com/ne...ticle_ID=10786 They will release some of their movies now and then release the entire catalog once the war is over but I think the dates of the releases should be separate from the day the format war is over. I don’t necessarily want to turn this into another AVS forum but shouldn’t there be a section just for the HD format war? |

Nice pickup for Blu-ray but Anchor Bay movies aren't really mainstream. If you're a fan of shlocky horror films then your pretty happy.
What's interesting is that Anchor Bay was responding to emails and sounding a lot like a neutral studio. Something tells me the HD DVD group isn't being as agressive. They better have some nice stuff lined up for the fall. |

I guess I should have said it like this instead:
Should there be a section just for the HD formats? It wouldn’t be any different than what were doing right now except that you would see it separated from the News section. If its fine the way it is then great, I was just asking. |

For me, Criterion on Blu-Ray would make me happy. But I think they're sitting it out. Paolo, great stuff you've been posting about BD lately; I think this in partly in response to the drop on HD DVD prices, etc. It's not just about making it cheaper, it's also about providing more content.
