Need updated, current advice on DVDs
Hi,
I am looking at upgrading and being able to offer Blu-ray. They are terribly expensive! I"d like to offer printables, preferably glossy, but I'll live with matte if necessary. I wish there was some type of Blu-ray Lightscribe surface. Currently, what brands offer the most reliability and value cost-wise? What has been your experience? Thanks |

I use discmakers.com for small duplication projects. On disc printing and retail packaging if you need it is superior compared to what you can do yourself. Here is a link to their instant quote Configure Your Project Quote - Disc Makers Short-run Disc Duplication BETA

Re: Need updated, current advice on DVDs
My clients need very limited runs of BluRays for theatrical projection, two or three of a project at most, so a service like Discmakers isn't worth the time and cost. Right now I am using inkjet printable Verbatim BluRay blanks and have not had a bad disc or a complaint about them once in the past two years. That said, I never use Verbatim for DVD blanks as the opposite has been my experience. The blanks are about $2.50 apiece.
