DVD-ARCHITECT Any news on Blu-Ray?
I've asked this before, just re-posting hoping someone has heard/can report something new.
Anybody heard any rumours of DVD Architect supporting Blu-Ray Authoring in the near future. The Adobe guys now all look to have it. Would be great to finally have the missing piece of the puzzle available for us Vegas/DVD Architect users. |

Well... you don't really want rumors - you want facts. And the bottom line is that anyone who knows facts can't tell them because of NDA restraints.

Actually a rumor would be fine....anything....a little chink of light.....ray of hope?
Does nobody else think it is just plain weird that in our case, Sony have been producing Prosumer HDV Camcorders for ages, software for us to edit it on, a PS3 for us to play it on yet nothing (affordable to mere mortals) to author it with? You want a rumour? Here's a good one for you (100% unsubstantiated - from the AVS forums).
When the Blu-ray standard is updated in October, all current players (except the Ethernet-enabled Sony PlayStation 3 ) will effectively be rendered obsolete. Including the new Pioneer and Sony models. Maybe the Sony Vegas folks know something we mere mortals don't? :-) |

It would be daft of Sony to push Blu Ray discs without releasing any tools to produce them...
