BMD Video Assist Monitor - Display Settings
Anyone experience these issues with there BMD Video Assist Monitor firmware version 1.1
No Exit option for the menus for (Storage - Display - Setup) Would like the display to "Save" the time and date that I enter. Currently is does not, even after clicking save or rebooting the video assist monitor. Also in order to have the display to show proper brightness, contrast and saturation my values are as follows: Brightness 0% Contrast 40% Saturation 40%. This is over the HDMI port with either a MacBook Pro or Sony a7 attached. Just curious to see if this is common or by chance I have a bad monitor. Thanks! |

Re: BMD Video Assist Monitor - Display Settings
Hi Jeff. The time/date setting issue is a known bug. Apparently you can solve it by rolling back to firmware 1, setting the time/date etc using the utility app and then reinstalling 1.1 firmware. Some people have managed to get it to save as long as they were sending a signal to it although that doesn't work with my NIkon D4.
You exit the display screen menus etc by swiping to one side. The brightness at 0% sounds wrong. The consensus seems to be around 50, 30, 45. I got all this from the forum on BM's website. Just look in the getting started and cinematography subsections for all the posts regarding video assist. Easy to find. There aren't that many. I hope that helps. |
