BMCC-MFT Sandisk Extreme II question
Hello everyone,
I just received a BMCC-MFT with one SSD, a Sandisk Extreme II (240GB). The card is not reading. I know I'm supposed to format the card first but my computer is not recognizing it either, (connected with USB and thunderbolt) hence I cannot format. Does anyone have a suggestion? This Extreme II card is not on the BMD website as being compatible but I've read that it has worked fine with some users. Also the card is wobbly once inserted into the drive, is this normal? Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I am very new to this. Thanks so much in advance! |

Re: BMCC-MFT Sandisk Extreme II question
there is supposed a spacer included with the extreme II. It will fit after you add the spacer.
I am using this SSD with my BMCC EF, it works fine. I read someone say that it will be supported after upgrading to firmware 1.5 or above. It is better to format it from a Mac. If you don't see the drive in Mac's disk utility, the ssd is dead. |

Re: BMCC-MFT Sandisk Extreme II question
I formatted my SSD from a Win 7 machine - no problems (although I have the 400+ GB SSD)
As Thomas said, there should ba spacer about 1/16 inch thick included with the SSD - it has a sticky side so you can stick it to the SSD but I just put both the SSD and the spacer in the hole - works great. |
