Seriously, I have heard that this is the last season. I think they all get rescued by the S.S. Minnow.

According to ABC, they're looking for an exit route so it should end after either the 5th (what was originally planned) or 7th (what the actors' contracts require) season, assuming all goes according to plan. Episodes will be shown back-to-back with no breaks between each week from now on.

Also, it's still the best show on tv, even if there have been some weak moments.

It starts up again in February and runs 16 weeks straight ending in May.
It's all about the ratings book.
