Just Started Watching "DaVinci's Inquest"
Maybe some of the many British Columbians we have on the forum can comment on this long-running TV series from Canada. On a local station, we get weekly re-runs, from 2001, which are from either its 3rd or 4th season. I find it to be a welcome addition to my viewing and will continue watching it even after new episodes of other network series resume this Fall. It's on my "must-watch" list of just half a dozen shows. It has apparently finished its 8th season and articles on the Web say it is still top-rated and is shown in dozens of other countries. I'd like to watch the current year's programs, but may have to settle for the older ones. Is it going to be produced again for this upcoming season?
The lead character and supporting players act very natural and it isn't "over-directed", as is the case with some other shows. Some good views of Vancouver are included, as you are seeing on all the "C.S.I." programs and others, of their respective city locations. Perhaps this panoramic style was started by "DaVinci's Inquest"? How much of these newer programs' formats were taken from this one? Can anyone tell me why none of the characters in it, have Canadian accents?
