Best overall soundtrack (music fitting to the film scene per scene) goes to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn.

Best overal single cut from a soundtrack goes to Raiders of the Lost Ark: Desert Chase sequence

The Empire Strikes Back

Could have worked as a silent movie with a score like that.

Titan A.E. I throw it in, just to listen to the killer music, and the animation is pretty nice too.

McQ: Elmer Bernstein (He scored most of John Wayne's movies)

Bullitt: Lalo Schifrin (In my humblest opinion, the king of soundtrack scorers)

Gettysburg

On Her Majesty's Secret Service: John Barry (He did many of the Bond Movies)
