Name The Movie- REWARD
Help! I can't remember the name of this really great movie. All I remember is that the movie takes place during WWII England. A boy was forced to move to the country for the summer. Can anyone tell me the name of the movie? There is a really nice boy chorus background music. There is a $10 reward for the first correct answer. It will be sent via Paypal.
Thanks |

I think you don't need to propose a reward for that, I think people will be glad to just try and help you just to help you.
It can't be Empire of the Sun, right? In that movie, an English boy ends up in a Japanese prison camp in WOII. Don't think you mean that, but I thought I could say it anyhow. |

I've seen this movie, or one just like it. He's got a randy sister right, and he comes across her with a cop in a burned out building? Same movie?

It could be "Hope and Glory". A great John Boorman film.

Agreed, gotta be "Hope & Glory." Great film. Love the scene where a wayward Luftwaffe bomb accidently hits the empty school during summer break; the kids return to find it burned to the ground, local boy raises his eyes skyward and says "Thank you, Adolf!"

I remember the kid taking a bullet and placing it in a vice grip and hitting it with a hammer and nail.
Still, my favorite kid during wartime movie was "Empire of the Sun".(Actually a true story.) |

I know this is an old post but I was searching for something and came across this topic. That also sounds like the film 'Goodnight Mr. Tom' based on the book of the same name. The kid is forced to the country and taken in and looked after by a man he calls Mr. Tom.
