Wedding videographer sticks a SpaceX type vertical rocket landing
He's also a qualified audio engineer, which helps explain why the sound track to the video is just so well done, in addition to the quality of the video work. It's an absolute pleasure to watch.
Amazing that this can be done with a solid propellant rocket motor. Andrew |

Re: Wedding videographer sticks a SpaceX type vertical rocket landing
I saw this on my YT feed the other day, must be trending. I couldn't help notice his camera setup mirrorless with a cage and wooden handle. Looked like a Canon..R5?
I didn't know he was a wedding videographer. Looks like he's some sort of engineer looking to get into aerospace judging on all the videos and time he has put in to this. Very cool none the less. |

His web site gives the additional info about him. He even wrote and recorded the music bed for the video.
It's a ridiculous amount of talent. Andrew |

Wow. That's a great combination of talent, inspiration, perspiration and perseverance. I'm hoping that SpaceX or NASA signs him up for whatever he'd like to do.

Very impressive! NASA can't even land anything vertically.
Here's one of my SpaceX landings for comparison. (His video is better too)

When I was a kid my brothers and I were into rockets. We would build the Estes rocket kits. Many of our rockets would be lost or taken by trees because we lived in New England where there aren't miles of open space.

Re: Wedding videographer sticks a SpaceX type vertical rocket landing
I hope so, with 3-4 cameras. I'm working from Massachusetts this summer but I'm flying back to Florida for the week that spans the first three launch opportunities: August 29 @ 8:33am. September 2 @ 12:48pm. and September 5 @ 5:12 p.m. If they can't launch it during that window then they have to put the whole thing back in the VAB and try again after Sept. 20. Even though it will be a wasted trip for me to go down if it doesn't launch, I hope it gets delayed because then I'll have three more cameras available when I leave Mass. for the summer and go back to Florida with the rest of my gear.
