Color footage of London In The 1920s
Released by the BFI - British Film Institute.
Fascinating color film travelogues from the 1920s. I couldn't help but smile, an early 20th century version of the "camera test" :-) it also turns out to be a lovely view into the past. London in 1927 on Vimeo

That was a really great video. It showed how the times were back then and the color plus the candid style really helped to give the feeling of how it was.

Wonderful to me how most of the buildings, thoroughfares, bridges and the like are exactly as they are today.
But the working docks, right up into the City then have now all gone. Ron |
