Seconds To Play - college football broadcast documentary
Here's a great documentary from 1976 behind the scenes on ABC Sports' coverage of NCAA college football called Seconds To Play.
It used to be on Google Video but was taken down a few months ago. Andy Sidaris was the original director of ABC's football broadcasts and he went on to direct movies. I emailed his website to see if they might have a copy. His wife runs the site now (he passed away in 2007) and she very kindly mailed me a copy to put on the web. I've been working in mobile sports broadcasts for the past eight years and this video shows everything I love about it. Enjoy! Seconds To Play - part 1/2 - YouTube

Watching it right now. Pretty cool stuff ... in a 1960s kind of a way.

Hey Mark....You are addicted to this video lol. I watched it last year when you sent it to me. It is a great video. It's crazy to think how much work was involved back then. At least you would get more then a days work for a sporting event lol.

No doubt. A week's work to do a game... every week. My dream job.
