If you want to see things that amaze you with the detail and patience put into a work, you have to really admire the stop motion work of the Brothers Quay. Incredibly distrubing but I find myself unable to turn away from their work at the same time.
I have the collection that was out out by, I believe Zietgiest. To plan some of that out and to have thought all the imagry through to be able to smoothly film it, it makes me feel so inferior in my simple abilities. I usually don't have tremendous things to say about music videos but another superior piece to find is, believe it or not, the Chemical Brothers piece called "Let Forever Be". I have no idea how you would pre-plan a shoot like that. I would love to be able to have that sort of vision. Really, find that video. EDIT - Here it is....watch it and let me know what you guys think. How do you explain this video and the complicated imagry? If I had to explain the concept to a DP, or an editor, I probably couldn't do it. http://www.thechemicalbrothers.com/d...ideos/forever/ Sean McHenry

Sean, good to see another Brother's Quay fan.
On that Let Forever Be video, you should research the work of Michel Gondry who made it. He is one of the most technically inventive music video directors out there. Also he has a collection of videos put out under the Directors Label series (Chris Cunningham and Spike Jonez are the others)
