Well, I'm out. I gave up and googled the quote because I was having trouble focusing on work. Now I know where it's from. I would never has guessed it correctly.

Is that actually a movie or just wishful thinking? And, sorry, it's wrong.

Here's another line from the film:

"It seems everyday ends with a miracle here. And whatever God may be, I thank God for this day "

I had to sit and think for a minute... as I read those two quotes, I thought to myself, "whose voice is that?" and if I had not seen this actor on the tube just the other night in Open Range (another excellent movie), then I would have been struggling with this for quite awhile and kicking myself for not getting it.

At any rate. Thanks Paul for serving up a pitch I could actually hit.

This is of course Kevin Costner in Dances With Wolves.

Will have one for you shortly, within an hour or two...

Okay Chris,
I'm gettin' itchy, so I'm just going to guess. Is it "The Day the Earth Stood Still" ?

I only just realized AFTER I typed that comment that there is a thread just a few drops from the top concerning that specific film. Weird.

Actually I think I'll go ahead and cede this round to Jonathan. I should know better than to play this game when I've got a mountain of site work and email in front of me! Sorry fellows,

Cool. Okay, I'll take the handoff and throw out this quote to chew on:

Character One: "I don't like this business you're getting yourself into."

Character Two: "I'll be just fine (name omitted). You know what a careful girl I am."

Character One: "I move my mouth... words come out. You don't hear them."

Character Two: (smiles) "I'm late for a movie."

Character One: "I don't like it when you smile at me."

Character Two: "You don't like my smile?"

Character One: "I don't like what's behind it."

-- next line omitted as a dead giveaway --

Character Two: "Its only a movie (name omitted). I'll bring you some popcorn."

Ready, set, go.

I am pretty bad at this game so it was a major fluke that i got it.
The last line is what did it. For some reason i thought of Wizard of Oz, then i thought of Gwyneth Paltrow, and I havent seen many of her movies so it was easy to narrow down.

I keep thinking of quotes that are easily googled. I was going to go with "Shut up you freak!"
but the movie pops up as the first google entry.

So from a different movie, but one that has been lampooned on the Simpsons.

First Speaker: Sir, suddenly I find your conduct as distasteful as your manners. You are behaving like some sort of animal.

Second Speaker: Really?

First: Really.

Second Speaker: Let us not forget sir, it is you who comes from the jungle.

No guesses?

Here is another quote from it:

"Say man, that is one strange dude. Who is he?"

"one strange dude."

"I got to check this cat out again, man. Did you see the rags he had on? Baaaad cape. I'd like to beat him out of that cape."

No. You may have never seen it but most certainly heard of it/the main character.

There are certain key words used in this movie that if i include would be a dead giveaway.
If no one can guess I'll add some more quotes tonight.
