P.S. Hoffman did a great job in that movie. I don't think anyone else could have pulled it off.
Here's one: (reading fortune aloud) "Beware Japanese waitress bearing fortune cookies..." (ponders) "....Japanese waitress..."

Our "hero's" boss has gone berserk and is shooting at him and a suspect:
Suspect: "He's out of ammunition." Hero: "He's out of his mind--that's what he's out of!" 1970's comedy. I hope I'm not the only fan of this series. :)

Sounds like Peter Sellers as Clouseau, but it's hard to say which movie.

The boys from Melbourne almost have the mystery sol-ved! If you don't want to guess which one, we could just pass it on to one of you.

I guessed based on the synopsis that read "Charles Dreyfus escapes from the mental asylum and tries to kill Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau." Oh well. Here goes-
"It's their place, Mac. They have a right to do what they want with it. You can't eat scenery. Cheers!"

K, time's up. Local Hero, a 1984 movie, Burt Lancaster, Peter Riegert.
Next one- "He had simply written down music already finished, in his head!"
