Ugh! Well, the second quote I recognized as being from the original (Kenneth Mars always killed me as Franz Leibkind). I don't specifically recognize the first quote but I assume it was LSD at his audition?

Perfect score -- it was the original and the first quote was LSD at his audition. "That's our Hitler!"

Character 1: How much is the coffee?
Character 2: Fifty-three cents. Character 1: How much is the tea? Character 2: Fifty-three cents. Character 1: (beat) I'll have the tea.

I know I've heard this line somewhere. Is it from The Usual Suspects?

But of course! Charles Grodin's delivery on this line kills me every time.
Take it away, Paul.

"Is that it? Is that all you're gonna ask me? Well I got a couple of thousand goddamn questions, you know. I want to speak to someone in charge. I want to lodge a complaint. You have no right to make people crazy! You think I investigate every Walter Cronkite story there is?"

Here's one that might be a little difficult.
Character 1: You're sure trying hard to make a hero out of me. Character 2: You're that already. You just need a special act, something that'll make your name a legend. Character 1: What I don't understand is what difference it makes to you. Charachter 2: If a man is a man, he needs someone to believe in. Character 1: I've met all kinds in my life. Thieves and killers. Pimps and prostitutes. Con men and preachers. Even a few fellas that told the truth. The kind of man you're talking about, never. -Garrett |
