Big Fish
Doesn't that film just warm your heart and make you feel good about being in the story telling business?!!

I did enjoy this but felt it overrated; I enjoyed it in a watch it one time way but feel no need to own it or rent it again. It is one of Burtons 'Hit's (he is so Hit and MIss for me)
Big Fish was a touching film but never really peaked for me My Hit or Miss Burton List: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Hit From What I understand? Big Fish - Hit Planet of the Apes - Miss Gigantically Sleepy Hollow - Hit Mars Attacks! _ Miss Ed Wood - Hit Batman Returns - Miss Edward Scissorhands - Hit Batman - Miss Beetle Juice - Hit Pee-wee's Big Adventure - Hit Frankenweenie - Hit |

Matthew McGrory who played Karl the Giant passed away Aug 9th. He was 32. According to the AP report, "Paramedics determined he died of apparent natural causes, police said."

Yes. I really enjoyed the film as well. I thought it touched and delt with a very real issue. The poor relationship many men experience with their fathers. In many cases it's not 'till dad dies is he appreciated.
