Moon
Anyone else seen this? I saw it the other night at a friend's house, and thought it was really good. Sort of a combo of 2001: ASO and Solaris.

I only caught about 15 minutes of it at a friends house and unfortunately had to leave. But I was really impressed with what I saw. Sam Rockwell is a brilliant actor.

Saw it last week and loved it. They don't make enough slow moving, thought provoking, explosion and lazer canon free scifi movies.
If you've still got it around, the extras are worth watching too.

Amazing story & Set Design VS Horrible CGI.

I agree with you there. The CGI was definitely the worst part of the movie.

What CGI are you guys referring to? most of the effects work in Moon was miniatures.

Miniatures sprinkled with CGI sauce to be more specific. I loved the old school idea of using miniatures, but the CGI rocks and dust and whatever else they added just didn't really sell all that well. I loved the movie, but if I'm being honest they were the weakest part of the whole thing.
