Sin City
Who wants to bet that this is shot on HD? Knowing Rodriguez and how much he likes it, it probably was. I cannot wait to see this movie. Ive been counting down the days til it's release. Everytime that I see Jessica Alba dancing in the trailer it's just like.... o_O
What do you people think about it? |

No bet about it. I can tell you absolute 100% that it was shot on two Sony F950s.

Rodriguez is also famous for inexpensive set creation.

It's also the reason he can shoot so quickly. He's already got another movie coming out this year - The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl.
The problem is that he often gets the same results other extremely quick filmmakers have - crap. As much as I enjoy his work, the best stuff in his best films, like with Sin City, usually come from someone else. It's not that he's a bad writer on his own either - or a bad director of actors, he just prizes speed too much. |

Saw it the other night; definitely gonna own a copy. Absolutely amazing. I've always liked RR; this one should redeem him in the eyes of all those who haven't cared for him before.
It's incredibly violent but visually stunning. I still can't believe Marv was played by Mickey Rourke! What a great job he did. Great cast all the way around... two thumbs up, way up! |
