The Day the Earth Turned Swill
Major disappointment. Sodden mess, produced by committee. Believe the reviews, except in that they are kind to Keanu, who, incidentally, is either not aging well or had a major bad hair month. Driftwood emotes more. Dude...
Direction matches script and level of involvement. Black hole levels of suck, powered by Infinite Improbability Drive. The Director clearly got fixated on the green spiked fluo look of Saw, and loves EFX. Wait for the DVD. It should be out by Christmas! Michael Rene, RIP. iPaul

Wow Paul, don't hold back, tell us what you REALLY thought!
I have no intention of seeing it. Even though I expect like most big FX extravaganzas, it plays best on the big screen. No, the original said what needed to be said, elegantly and with a modicum of effects. But then, I've NEVER been a Reeves fan. (Side note: For those Sci-Fi fans who are ever in Burbank, CA - you simply MUST visit the Fry's Electronics store. The entire theme of the store is dedicated to SciFi flicks of the fifites... with a nod towards the Day the Earth Stood Still. Great fun) |

The best thing about this movie is, that my friend Chris made a bag of cash doing stunts for Keanu. The film itself is pretty much garbage imo.
