I think Robert Downey, Jr. deserves an Oscar nod for Iron Man

I'm not saying he didn't a good job,
But I think RDJ literally found a movie where he could just play himself. That doesn't necessarily mean its award-worthy. There were dozens and dozens of better performances this year. |

Great film. Terrific effects and action. Catchy script. Terrific performance by RDJ - Oscar worthy??? No.

Bridges was excellent as Stane, especially near the end, when he
SPOILER ALERT! took Tony's heart/power out. Great acting, writing, direction, camera, sound, etc. All excellent! heath

Now I didn't say because he used that he deserves an award--I just said that Hollywood loves the comeback kid. And RDJ definitely is that.
But it looks like RDJ got the Golden Globe nom for Tropic Thunder. Heath

Oh I LOVE that he appears to be getting his act together. God Bless 'm. He's a suprememly talented actor. Two of his films in particular are noteworthy. CHAPLIN an the often overlooked RESTORATION in particular.
